While Cannes owes its reputation to the Film Festival, the Palais des Festivals is recognized as being one of Europe’s busiest Convention Centers. One of the outstanding features is the amount of exhibition space (25000 square meters in its current configuration) and the number of conference rooms (26 rooms and auditoriums with a seating capacity ranging from 35 to 2,300). The magnificent terraces and reception rooms offer a breath taking panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea.The exceptional location of the Palais des Festivals makes it a unique venue. However, growing competition in the international market has compelled the Palais des Festivals to redefine its strategies and plans for future development. In the near future, the Palais will add a 3,000 square meter extension, increasing the total area to 28,000 square meters . This new project will further enhance the facilities and services the Palais can offer to an international clientele.
With the creation of thousands of jobs, the Palais des Festivals will contribute to the economy of Cannes, as well as the entire region, thereby serving as a viable economic model.
